Post 2: On the events of the Revolution of 1905

1905
So finally in 1905, the people of Russia rose up and called for reform because basically everything about their lives sucked. However, although they called for reform, they still supported Tsar Nicholas II because to be honest, even though he wasn't the best leader, he was still the best leader Russia had had in a long time. No one wanted to boot him off the throne yet because they were scared that if he did, he might be replaced with an even worse leader.
The Revolution of 1905 started with Bloody Sunday. The factories were temporarily shut down because
most of the workers went on strike to demand worker's rights. In addition, Russia's military was pretty much anti-tsar after another loss in a war--the Russo-Japanese War.
Meanwhile, that pervert Rasputin continued ruining Dad and our whole family's reputation. Asides from all the partying and sex, there was some kind of "homosexual jealousy" scandal recently. I wish we could get rid of him, but Alexei has hemophilia and apparently only Rasputin can heal him.
Honestly, I wasn't that shocked by the events of the Revolution of 1905. Dad had to have seen it coming. Sometimes I think he's such a terrible leader that even I could lead better. Seriously Dad, just give the workers their rights!
